Getting to know the bees is part of the process. I was so excited my first year that many times I would go and just sit by the hive in the middle of the day. One day I grabbed my camera and was able to get some amazing shots. What you see here are some very busy worker bees bringing in nectar and pollen. Though you can't see the nectar in their stomachs, the pollen is visible on their back legs. What was so amazing was the color of the pollen; from pale yellow to bright orange and even purples and greens.
