This Christmas we decided to make a gingerbread house. This turned into a family endeavor. Manya and Ivan drew up the plans on graph paper. Diane made the gingerbread, and we all took turns doing the decorating. It was a lot of fun and we got very creative with it. I plan on doing it again next year. It took us a whole day, from start to finish. The hardest part was being patient while the white frosting that held it together dried. Then we were able to really start with the candy decorations. It lasted about 10 days and then little by little the kids ate parts and the did a deconstruct on the whole house. It was a lot of fun and something to be done again next year.
